Economics seminar I

Economics seminar I: Introductory economics for non-economists

This lecture is designed for anyone who wants a deeper or broader understanding of economic principles, and the interconnections between different economic statistics. Intended as the first lecture of two, it covers the principles of macro and micro-economics, inflation, labour markets, government intervention, finance and international trade. The second lecture connects those principles to common economic measures and statistics produced by Statistics NZ.

Recorded Wednesday 20th July 2011

MESA Econmics Seminar 1: Economics for Scientists – Part 1 from Elf Eldridge on Vimeo.

The talk and slides can also be viewed here for Windows users or Mac users running Silverlite.
