2010 Student & Postdoc MacDiarmid Symposium
The 2010 MacDiarmid Institute student/postdoc symposium was held on the 18 and 19 November at Victoria University of Wellington, and focused on the theme of “The MacDiarmid Cutting Edge”. There were 18 PhD students presenting their work in 20-minute talks (including question time) over the two days. In addition two special sessions were organized: an opening held with the PI contingent featuring a lecture from Daniel Nocera (MIT Chemistry), and a postdoc-led discussion focused on managing collaboration. For entertainment there was a student-postdoc-PI quiz evening before dinner with the PIs.
