Matauranga Maori, Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials
Victoria University of Wellington
19-20 November 2015
Kia ora koutou,
The 2015 MacDiarmid Institute Student and Postdoc Symposium will be in Wellington on November 19-20.
The title of the symposium is ‘Mātauranga Māori, Nanotechnology, and Advanced Materials’. The aim is to promote some discussion about how our research ties in with the educational and economic aspirations of groups such as Māori.
The schedule is now available. The key times if you are booking transport:
- Registration opens at 0830 on Thursday 19 November, with the first talk at 0915.
- Symposium will end at 1600 on Friday 20 November
The symposium is also a chance for us to share our research within the MacDiarmid Institute, and to introduce the new MESA committee.
There will be 15 student/postdoc talks (all taken), and two poster sessions. There will be ‘Poster Intro Sessions’ where each poster presenter gets 1 slide and 1 minute to introduce/advertise their poster to the audience. We will be in touch closer to the date to collect the slide/image from our poster presenters. Please remember that all attendees are required to present a poster (or a talk).
So please register before the end of October. We look forward to seeing you all in Wellington.
